Marcela Pérez

Macela Pérez has a background in architecture that she combines with an educational experience developed in Latin America, and she has coordinated activities run by the association “Permis de vivre la ville” (license to live in the city) since 1998.
This association won the "Trophées de la démocratie participative" (participatory democracy award) in 2002, run by the Foundation of France and the National Towns Counsel. Since 1999, the association has taken part in several projects in the Bois Sauvage area of Evry, aimed at intergeneration and diversity.

Every trimester, the French National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology (INSTN), part of the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) based in Saclay, France, organises a free conference aimed at young people. Middle and high school students come, sometimes accompanied by their parents, to listen to the researchers describing their work. The topics, often specialized, are always accessible and outlined with concrete examples.
